On a sunny day

Hourmouziadis Stelios
2017

on a sunny day,

the smile you sacrificed,
enticing that pleasure bud,
readily rises once more;

the limbs afloat anew
your life-beacon
hoisted

a dog's tail playful
a flower blossoming
the bread hot
the honey dripping
your lips on mine
my shirt wide-open
my chest exposed
my heart serene,
a heart so strong.

On a sunny day like this
no hell no high water
no sticks no stones
nothing but
your nature's bliss.
