Αsimina Xirogianni was born and raised in Athens. Her favorite place is Aegina where she wrote her first poems. She studied Classics and Theatrology at the University of Athens, as well as Act at the Theatre-Workshop School. She teaches theatrical education in primary school; she works as animating spirit of theatrical game; she gives private lessons in Greek language, Literature, History and History of Theatre. She has been honored in various poetry competitions. Ηer poems have been translated in English, French and Spanish. She has translated Carol Ann Daffy, Τed Hughes, Μark Strand, Τseslav Miloz. She is a member of the Pan-Hellenic Literary Union. In 2009 she founded the blog varelaki (http://varelaki.blogspot.gr/p/blog-page_10.html).
