Fear of the sea

Marvin Pavlina
2014

translated by Pavlina Marvin

I now follow
my hand while running in the seafront
to plunge, to stop you
from the dive of the fifty meters
that finally happened.
You dared to, while I was sleeping
and I was dreaming that there was
no reason to stepped out

It’s getting dark•
one male whale
at the point where the sea becomes sky
means that you jumped
from the eagle’s wing
to the elephant΄s nose
and then to the saddle of the biggest whale

it was not a childish game
it was another thing;

you, hunted
