Diaphanous skin

Exposed monologues
2018

translated by Elpida Komianou

In life’s warren I shovel

for hours and days

Each shovel takes out

a few drams of self-deception out of the hole

getting a few centimeters closer

to the flesh and bones of my existence

harvesting what I sowed

And my soul from above looking down

remains identical

Like the first day I started to dig
