The right decisions are taken in the summer

A Mythical Day
2014

translated by
Tzoutzi Mantzourani

It was fear’s fault,
Friends rhyming
With the dead
Cat’s eyes in the dark.

Ever since
I was crying the way plants do
Invisible drops in the leaves’ armpits

I was laughing living my countryside / my provinces
In an other city.

I was ripping the quarter of the century
In the shape of a sea-shell
Talking about the impatient future
And the black hole

only a few meters under my feet.
